Camera Critters #164 - Fluttering Through The Flowers - May 28, 2011

I put this picture in my most recent blog but I have a few more from that day I
wanted to post as well.  He/she was having a lovely time, with no other competition
but a few bumble bees.   Perhaps it is a little early yet for the butterflies, moths, bees
to come out in droves.  While it was a nice sunny days, it was quite breezy with
cool temperatures.

I am participating in Camera Critters - check out the site
and add a picture of your own!!

I am so happy you visited my blog and liked my
photos. They turned out pretty well, considering I wasn't all that close to my subjects.

I do love that header as well. I took the picture last year and was a littl distant. It wasn't until I downloaded the shot that I realized it was pretty good!

I wish I had a telephoto lens like my friend, Shiju! But, even with my limited range, I was excited that I could see the moth/butterfly's eyes on the side of its head!

I get a kick out of that header, myself, every time I see it. It looks good enlarged like that!

I am happy you like my header. I'm trying to vary it from time to time. I really love that shot, too.

It's fun to get close up photos of these creatures..as long as they don't get irritated with you and create a ruckus!

What kind of wonderful weekend plans are on the agenda? Do you have something special planned? I hope you have Monday off. Glad you liked my flying cratures.

I was surprised that very few flying critters were out and about on the flowers. Maybe it's still bit chilly. We had a beautiful day but it was quite windy and cool.

I wish my insects and butterfly pictures were the quality of yours! What kind of camera are you using? It doesn't matter, really, I'm stuck with the one that I have!

The bee and moth/butterfly were most cooperative, not flitting too much and allowing me to get reasonably close. I like it that way!

I had fun out there taking pictures. It was quite windy, though. I was surprised the insects could even fly. The birds were certainly being swept around on the currents.
